Our Purpose

The Miss Black Central Texas Pageant is not just a pageant. It is an overall experience for young ladies to learn and grow within themselves. During the pageant weekend the young ladies will attend a series of workshops ranging from health care and careers to skin care and make up application. We will also instill a sense of pride in their heritage and community through introducing them to successful leaders from right here in the heart of Texas.

Our goal is to transform these young ladies, boost their confidence and give them a heightened awareness of what they can do to enrich themselves and their community. It is our hope that the skills the young ladies learn through this experience will follow them throughout their lives, extending their potential and broadening their horizons.

Our Directives

To celebrate the many shapes, sizes and colors of the African American Girl and Woman.
To provide a forum to showcase their talent and both their inner and outer beauty.
To aid in social, economic, spiritual, cultural, Professional and academic development for African American girls and women.
To offer a viable mechanism for attaining leadership status within our region.
To nurture and encourage opportunities.
To perform community service and leave a positive impact.
To provide economic empowerment.
To promote healthy lifestyle choices.
